Claire joined the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy in 1995 as a Health and Safety Officer and held several leadership positions before taking up her current position as Director of the company`s Union Chapter as Director of Industrial Relations and Union Services in 2014. Philip White joined HSE in 1985 as a labour inspector and has experience in regulating a wide range of industries. Philip has held senior operational and policy positions at HSE, including Head of HSE`s Operational Strategy Division and Chief Construction Inspector. Philip has experience in other areas of government, including secondment to the Department for Work and Pensions, where he leads the Health and Safety Sponsorship Team, advises ministers on health and safety policy matters and the work of the Health and Safety Executive. James Anderson is the inaugural Chief Technology Officer (CTO) within the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and joined the organization in September 2015. James is currently leading HSE`s technology modernization, delivering more efficient and effective ways of working and placing greater emphasis on delivering customer services enabled by mobile and web technologies. James has had a career in the public and service sectors, most recently as CIO of The Guinness Partnership Group (TGP), one of the UK`s leading housing associations with over 60,000 homes and 120,000 tenants and families. Prior to TGP, he spent several years at the Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission (CMEC), which is now DWP`s Child Maintenance Group. However, he spent the first 17 years of his career in the British Army, serving with the Royal Corps of Signals and Queens Gurkha Signals in various corners of the world, mainly in communications, computing and headquarters support operations, particularly in Hong Kong, Northern Ireland, Germany, Bosnia, Kosovo, Kuwait and the United Kingdom. He also had the chance to spend a 2-year assignment in the U.S. Army at the Pentagon, Washington DC as one of the U.S.
Army`s leading enterprise architects. In March 2010, Eunice OâRaw, a former lawyer at the Mahon Tribunal, was appointed head of the HSE legal department, a position that carries a salary of €115,000 per year. She was Senior Director of Operations for Amec Foster Wheeler`s Technology and Innovation Centre in Warrington and has extensive experience in attracting and executing technical consulting projects and laboratory services in a variety of scientific and technical disciplines. Angela has worked at the board level in both the public and private sectors for over 20 years. She has extensive experience in operational delivery, transformation and consulting services. She has held a variety of leadership positions including Director of Treasury Services for Pendle City Council, responsible for customer service, benefits, housing tax, business rates, fraud, investigation and prosecution services, and debt collection, and director of transformation and solutions development for Liberata, Responsible for business development, transformation, sales solutions, products, services and consulting. A career public servant with a strong commitment to providing effective and accountable public services, Sarah took up her role as Chief Executive of the Health & Safety Executive in September 2019. Previously, she served as Chief Executive Officer of the Insolvency Department since February 2015, leading the agency through a period of large, transformative change and leading the response to a number of high-profile corporate insolvencies. including the liquidations of Carillion and British Steel. An HSE spokeswoman said OâRaw was a qualified but not practising member of the College Council, adding that she was employed by the HSE full-time.

David has previous experience in the public sector at the board level and spent ten years as Director of Resources in the Public Procurement Department. Prior to that, he spent five years as Deputy Director/Director of Finance, Resources and Planning at Wirral Metropolitan College and prior to that he held a number of financial leadership positions at the NHS, including Chief Accountant at Salford Royal Hospitals. He also led the renewal of the ward, focusing on returning streets to walking and cycling, rejuvenating main streets and transforming leisure and cultural offerings for residents, culminating in the council`s successful attempt to become both London`s leading cultural borough and MJ Local Authority of the Year in 2019. He is curator of the William Morris Gallery, the first and only museum dedicated to the artist and writer in Britain.
